Validation of Health Behavior Measurement Among Older Adults – A Pre-Post Study at the Újbuda Health Development Office

This presentation, delivered at the XXIX International PhD – Young Researchers – Conference, introduces a research study led by Péter Domján and colleagues from Semmelweis University. The study examines the health attitudes and behavioral changes among elderly participants involved in prevention programs at the Újbuda Health Development Office (EFI). Through a structured questionnaire, validated using statistical methods such as Pearson correlation, Cronbach’s Alpha, and ICC (Intraclass Correlation Coefficient), the team assessed the consistency and reliability of health attitude measures before and after the interventions. The findings highlight the potential for positive attitudinal shifts toward health in old age and underscore the importance of accessible, targeted health promotion services.
